Designed Drop Out Vessels

$245

A drop-out vessel is created by slumping a piece of glass through an elevated mold with a central hole. As the glass “drops” through, it stretches, shaping the final design in a unique and organic way. Coldworking techniques are then used to refine the rim, further transforming the piece.

In this two-day workshop, you’ll design a contemporary drop-out vessel using vibrant glass, stringers, black-and-white checkers , dots and more.

Workshop Schedule:

📅 Day 1 – March 22 | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • Design your 9″ round blank using colorful glass, stringers, dots, and more.

📅 Day 2 – March 29 | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • Learn to use a saw to cut the vessel rim.
  • Explore both manual and machine coldworking techniques.

Join us for this hands-on experience and create a striking glass art piece!
