Weaving Glass – Two-Session Fused Glass Workshop
Discover the magic of glass weaving in this creative and engaging two-session fused-glass workshop! You’ll learn how to cut glass strips, design your own pattern, and weave the pieces together to create a stunning textured artwork.
In the first session, you will design and cut the warp strips for your weave. These strips will be kiln-slumped between sessions to create the raised and recessed areas needed for weaving.
In the second session, you’ll cut the weft strips and weave them through your slumped warp pieces to build your final design. Your assembled weave will then be kiln-fused into a single piece of glass and finished with a final slump firing into the shape you choose.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll explore color combinations, layering techniques, and discover how heat and gravity transform your design during firing. Your finished woven piece can be slumped into a dish, displayed as a decorative panel, or enjoyed as a beautiful stand-alone artwork.
This workshop is perfect for all skill levels—no experience needed. All materials, tools, and guidance are provided.
