PATTERN BARS WORKSHOP — 2-DAY EXPERIENCE
Design • Cut • Fuse • Create
Dates: April 25 | 10:00–12:30
Second Session: May 2 | 10:00–12:30
Take your fused glass skills to the next level with the exciting Pattern Bar technique, a special method that allows you to create unique, complex designs in kiln-formed glass. This process opens the door to bold patterns, depth, and striking visual effects you can’t achieve with sheet glass alone.
Day 1 — Design & Create
Design and build your pattern bars, including a striped bar and a flow bar, while learning how glass flow and multiple firings create dimensional, organic designs.
Day 2 — Cut & Construct
Cut your fired bars using a wet tile saw, arrange your patterns, fuse them into blanks, and complete basic coldworking as you transform your bars into finished pieces.
Projects:
• One striped pattern bar
• One flow pattern bar
• One finished plate (choose 10×10 or 7×12)
You’ll leave with one finished plate plus your handmade pattern bars to use in future projects.
Prerequisites:
Basic glass cutting skills and kilnforming experience required.
